Bill Brimer is an Americana songwriter from Dallas, Texas. His sparse and focused sound combines the traditions of country and folk singer-songwriters with ambient atmospherics. As a genuine storyteller, his songs mainly focus on the struggles of damaged characters but sometimes include paranormal elements. The stories balance the sorrowful and the hopeful with themes of love, mortality, and addiction. His work has been compared to Jason Isbell, The Civil Wars, Gillian Welch and John Moreland. The minimalistic arrangements recall Springsteen’s “Nebraska”.

Brimer originally cut his teeth in the Austin music scene. As a performer and songwriter in independent rock bands, he toured and played festivals such as SXSW and NXNW. He has worked as a professional musician at churches, conferences, and events since 2011. In January 2018, he began releasing one new song every month on his own label. He writes and records each release in the upper floor studio of his home in the Dallas suburbs. He works with producer Garth Orr on mixing and Brian Douglas Phillips on pedal steel guitar. The songs are mastered by Pete Lyman of Infrasonic Mastering whose work includes Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson.

In September 2018, Brimer began playing live shows throughout Texas with his newly formed band in order to support his monthly song releases. His live band consists of Erick Johnson on the pedal steel guitar and Garth Orr on bass. His music has been featured on Dallas radio on the 91.7 KXT Local Show with Amy Miller. When he’s not working at music somewhere he is enjoying the company of his wife, son and their pit bull Lefty.
